Hi Kelly, I suppose we're a bit spoiled that we live in Iowa City where Anna's mixes are made. We actually spoke with Anna about the cost of her mixes, and believe it or not, she tries to make them as affordable as possible! The alternative grains Anna uses are extremely expensive, and she is constantly looking for better and less-expensive sources. If our government and the farmers in this country were more willing to grow grains other than wheat and corn, these mixes would be available for a much more reasonable price!

Where do you buy this bread that makes it affordable? The only option I've been able to find where I live is online, for $9 per loaf plus shipping and handling. That is very expensive for one loaf of bread! I've had it, though, and after two and a half years of eating gluten free and baking a lot, nothing compares. The loaf I had was the herb bread. Absolutely delicious. Thanks for the review.

Hi Toni - No, we didn't receive any compensation for visiting Breads From Anna. We recently discovered that the business is located near where we live, and because we have always loved the Breads from Anna pie crust mix, we thought we'd visit the business and share the experience with our readers. As I mentioned in the post, we did receive a couple free mixes, but that was it. Thanks for your question!

Was this trip paid for by Breads From Anna? I don't doubt your claims, but I think it's fair to let us know.
